Security guard as a job is defined by the responsibility to guard, to patrol, and to monitor premises. With these, all sort of violence like theft and infraction of rules can be avoided, or minimized at the least. As its definition tells, being a security guard entails a big duty. If you are applying for the position of a security guard, then you must be able to make resume that is appropriate for that job. Not only appropriate, you must also be able to make your resume effective and convincing. You might need some tips on how you could make that resume. Featured in these articles are some guidelines and tips on how you can make your own effective, appropriate, and convincing resume to help you land the job you want.

You resume would consist of these parts: personal details, summary of qualifications, and professional experience. For the first part, which is a set of your personal details, you must include your correct and complete name, address, e-mail address, and your contact number. These details are important for they would be used by the company to contact you back for interview.

The next part is a summary of your qualifications. You must list all your skills, expertise, knowledge, and other qualifications that make you the perfect candidate for the position of security guard. You can include how you did patrol work on your previous jobs and how you can prevent theft and violence. You must be able to list down the duties and responsibilities you had with your previous job such as keeping records of visitors, employees, and staffs. As for your educational achievement, you can include it here but the position of a security guard would not require any specific degree.

The last part of your resume would be a list of your professional experience from you previous jobs that are related to being a security guard. You must list all your previous positions and provide a description of your role. Aside from these, you must also give a short list of tasks and accomplishments you had during that time. You must make a list in a chronological order, starting from the most recent position you had.
